Brightest Nu Ray

Gelding, Brightest Nu Ray, barn name "Sledge," registered AQHA

At least $1000 worth of training has already been put in this gelding by the owner: Ground-trained and offered for sale by a Certified John Lyons Trainer

Absolutely beautiful gelding with one of the prettiest trots you're gonna see anywhere. (He'd make anyone look like a winner in a pleasure horse show.) "Sledge" has had round-pen training and will pack a saddle, (see photos). He has NOT been started with a rider -- but it's time he was. "Sledge" leads well, is very well mannered, and loves having his ears scratched. This is a perfectly healthy horse and he always has been. He's had no injuries ever and his hooves are in great shape.

He was born in May of 2008 and now stands 14.1 hands high, typical size for cutting horses. "Sledge" is strong-looking with a cherry butt and terrific confirmation. (His mother is and was a very strong horse.) This is a really nice horse; he's very willing without a stubborn bone in his body.

Question: Why am I selling him? Answer: He was bred to be sold (to a good home).

Question: Why is he not broke to ride? Answer: I am a professional trainer - but I have a business to run and 6 other horses.  I simply do not have the time it takes to consistently keep this horse in training.  Going out "whenever I can scrape a few extra minutes" to do my training on this horse is obviously a dangerous way to break a horse. Also - if I shipped him off to another trainer, it'd cost more than I'd ever get back - and I'm not willing to lose a ton of money. Trust me here, this is a very, very nice horse.

You can see him trot in a quick video here: https://plus.google.com/b/108632130991834231275/108632130991834231275/videos

Check out his strong bloodlines; they're perfectly geared toward a lifetime in the reining, cutting and cow horse worlds:

Brightest Nu Ray ("Sledge") is out of Ms Daisy To You by Smartest Little Pep.

He was sired by TAMU Nu Bar Rey by Nu Bar, 1974 Reserve World Champion Jr. Cutting (NCHA LTE $16,500, and offspring earnings of over $800,000). TAMU Nu Bar Rey is out of TAMU Rey Etta, a producing daughter of Rey Jay - a King Ranch stallion, AQHA Champion and winner of the NCHA finals Non-Pro in 1966. TAMU Rey Etta's offspring have over $168,000 in NCHA earnings to date.
