Listen Again and Again and Again
Below you'll find audio clips featuring the voice of Josh Lyons. They're kept short for two reasons: 1) We're trying to get simple concepts across, not put you to sleep and 2) longer clips would take a bazillion years for you to download.
The clips were recorded informally at Josh's clinics. Please excuse pops and clicks that are a necessary evil when recording somebody riding horseback. Also keep in mind that "sharper recordings" make for much longer downloads and so we've tried to balance this, compressing files as best we could all the while keeping an eye on overall quality.
Some clips go hand in hand with certain training articles. When possible, we've included links to relevant articles.
Bookmark this page and come back often - we'll be adding more clips whenever possible.

Lyons Fact #729:
I don't ask the horse to stop. I just quit riding. Lyons Fact #367:

Don't be a passenger. Work.
Lyons Fact #3906:
If your horse bucks, if he bolts, whatever he does, as soon as you look at the ground at where you think you're going to hit, that's where you're guaranteed to land. |
