"He will not walk forward he wants to go backwards all the way. He also has a biting problem"

Dear Keith...

Friday, January 12, 2007

I have a slight problem with my horse that I have recently been given, maybe you can Help! He is a 10 year old male and has been fixed He hasn't really been road in like 6 years and was sent off to be broke , the man that broke him abused him and now when I saddle up ( in a round pen of course) and want to get him moving he will not walk forward he wants to go backwards all the way, I am unsure of how to stop this problem. He also has a biting problem How can I cure that as well. I also have been given a 6 year old mare that has never been broke but is very easy to work with what method would you suggest for me to use on breaking her. He is very mild mannered but also has the biting problem that her brother/ father has. Thanks for your time Trisha
