"I have a question about the rope reins"

Dear Keith...

Saturday, June 9, 2007

I have a question about the rope reins (sold on Horsemanship101.com), what are they made of, how much do they weigh, and lastly how do the screws work, why would I need to put nail polish on them? Thanks So Much.

I've never actually weighed the reins - but the weight I have listed for them is 2lbs. They're made of boat cord. Chicago screws are used to join the leather straps there where they wrap around the bit; the nail polish is dabbed in there to keep the screws from "unscrewing." Regards, Keith Hosman
