Dear Keith...
Thursday, May 17, 2007
Dear Keith,
I have a problem my husband and i purchased a 1 year old spanish mustang filly and she turned 2 on june 30 soon to be 3. And I have no idea where to begin on her she came from a lady that said she was started with ground manners and halter broke. She is halter broke and that is it and I have really no experience in training a young horse, and I want to send her to a trainer but I feel that I should be learning with her as well. Her name is Belle and she is pretty good with letting you walk up to her and get her and stuff like that but beyong that NO!! We had her feet trimmed and that was a nightmare and she as reared up and struck out, I live in Decatur Mi and there are really no trainers near or ferriers and it has been tough I feel terrible that she is beginning to be a pasture pet and I don't think she deserve that. I have loved horses since I was a little girl and I have dreamed of training and showing horses and I am in my 30's and still want that dream to come true but I want to get every bit of knowledge I can. I would love to come to the clinic in june in delton mi but I am a hands on person. I need to be directed in the path so I can train my horse and hopefully in the future make my dream come true. I have enclosed a pic of bell last spring hopefully youcan help me.
Sincerely,
Carrie S |
