"Can you give me any tips where he will at least let me pet him and catch him?"

Dear Keith...

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Dear Mr.Keith, I have a 8 year old QH gelding. When my dad first bought him he was a little spooky but he would let us catch him. Well my dad stop messing with the horse. And he got to where he now doesn't want to be caught at all. So my dad decided he would give the horse to me and my husband. To see if we could do anything with him to get him to come back around. I am 22 years old and been riding horses since i was 10 years old. This horse is gentle because I can walk right up to him and he will lick my hand and lick my forehead but the minute I raise my hand slowly to pet him, he will jerk from me and walk off. So I wondering if you could give me any tips where he will at least let me pet him and catch him. Amy
