Dear Keith... Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Hello Keith, I have a ? for you....my husband is trying to have an area of woods cleared on our property for us to put up an outdoor arena to ride in(and practice in) for my kids and me. Could you give your opinion on the mininum size something like that should be , in order to have enough room to practice in? Also, is there an problem in having an oval vs. round? We have a younger horse we are going to be working with but I want it for an all around use for the horses, not just for training... thanks for you input.Joyce
- - - - - Reply The best advice I can give is to have fun with this: Go find people in your area that have arenas and ask them what they’ve learned regarding footing, size, etc. You’ll get much more out of that then a simple email from me. Let me know how it goes – Keith
