"I would love the opportunity to come work for you"

Dear Keith...

Sunday, August 26, 2007

My name is Laura A-, I am 16 years old, and I live in Australia. I am a year ten student and am considering career options for year 11 and 12, that’s why I am writing to you. I have been riding horses since I was three, and showing quarter horses since I was six years old. I have showed at state and national level, I was going to the youth world cup before my horse (koolatah im a cutie) died in 2004. After she died I had bred a foal, while he was growing up, I left home and live on a racing stable and trained race horses for about 18 months, riding track work was a great experience and taught me a lot more about riding and horsemanship. By this time I had started breaking in my young colt, he is now going very well and I know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Since I have been living on this racing stable I have trained an ex race mare to jump and she now a B grade jumping horse. My choice of career is to train quarter horses, there is nothing more that I love doing everyday, I would love the opportunity to come to America and work for you. I am a hard worker and willing to work hard for your stable and yourself, as in the future I would like to have a stable of my own. If I succeed in getting a fulltime job with you, I wouldn’t continue my education, as training quarter horses does not require year 11 and 12. Please let me know if you would like some referees of mine for more information or detail on me. Yours sincerely Laura A
