Re: john lyons books
Use training exercises to let a little pressure leak here and there, redirecting that energy to your advantage. For example, in our Hip-Shoulder-Shoulder exercise we begin by walking forward, then pick up a rein and ask one shoulder to stop while the rear end keeps moving. We cause one shoulder to stop, so we make a connection between the rein and stopping the shoulder but we allow the energy to continue flowing by allowing (or causing) the hips to keep moving. By not bottling the horse up, we've helped keep him calm, yet achieved a training objective. We've shown him how to channel that energy into a turn, a stop or whatever. And for the horse that wasn't stopping, it's become a simple thing to 'turn the water off.'
John pours his heart into helping people with their horses. This book series gives you a glimpse into why he is "America's Most Trusted Horseman."
John Lyons, Dr. Eleanor Kellon and the editors of John Lyons' Perfect Horse team up to bring you expert advice. These nine books offer you solid, practical advice every aspect of caring for and training your perfect horse.

during this process to pay via your checking account or with VISA.
We use PayPal to handle our online transactions. (Why?) But, you DO NOT NEED a PayPal account to make a payment using a charge card. When it asks you to sign in, ignore that and look down the page. You'll find a link (it says "Continue") which allows you to continue without creating an account using your charge card.
You do need an account to pay by check (or "echeck"). To pay by check either sign in to your PayPal account (on the page mentioned above) or go to PayPal.com and follow the simple process to create an account. (You'll find a button at the top of their page marked "Sign Up Now.") Note that signing up to pay by check will take a few days as PayPal verifies your account. Also note that PayPal will not allow me to send any products until your check clears (usually in about 5-6 days).
